Ray Nagin the “chocolate city” hapless mayor of New Orleans had a fleet of school busses with drivers at his disposal to evacuate residents well ahead of the storm. He resented objectivity for a faux persona.
End results? Hundreds died and his fleet of city school busses destroyed.

…it couldn’t happen to a more libisized city than Asheville. I wish them the very best and have already done a part personally to ease their pain but with government…you get what you vote for.

What does this have to do with the hurricane and the aftermath?
It’s all about being prepared for any and all possibilities and keeping politics…out of it. Asheville has not done a good job in that area and IMO is due to the liberal lean of their city politics.

What I’ve seen is their politically, lib policies…hurt the population. I gave you an example of why it would be a definite possibility. Now…we’ll both observe going forward.

I really didn’t think you’d politicize a thriving vibrant city in your own state suffering catastrophic hurricane damage with a sneering ‘they had it coming’ attitude but here we are.
