Anyone have data on KS to see if it is now becoming a hot spot?

Today is Good Friday and Easter is Sunday. I’d guess that any results from these gatherings will begin next week and after?

Aerage onset of symptoms I think is about 5-7 days but it can be up to I think 24.

Of course half or more are likely to have no symptoms at all or symptoms so mild they’ll never realize they had it.

Churches never cared about abortion either. Southern Baptists wrote abortion off as some weird Catholic thing.

Except when churches couldn’t use segregation as an organization omg took and for fund raising, then abortion became the replacement for segregation.

Churches aren’t especially “moral”, and it’s becoming clear that evengelical Christianity isn’t even a real religion, it’s a political system that uses a deity and wedge issues like abortion to maintain control of its followers.

I get it now. What confused me was that you wrote wouldn’t when you meant “would”

As I think about it more I tend to agree with you… based on the Supreme Court decision regarding the Wisconsin Primary this week. The five conservatives on the court stated in their decision that the courts should not make last minute changes to election procedure “in ordinary circumstances.” Clearly the conservatives on the court view what is happening today as ordinary circumstances… I suppose they are not worried about getting laid off.

As long as the courts view the current US situation as “ordinary” they would probably rule against limiting church assemblies.

It is interesting though that none of the conservative justices elected to take responsibility as the author of that decision.

I wonder if most Americans agree with these give gentlemen that these are “ordinary” times?

Experts are saying to continue social distancing. It’s working.
If some idiot wants to ignore that so a bunch of people can gather to help spread the virus faster, I don’t give a ■■■■■ Just don’t clog up the hospitals. Stay at home. Let Jesus remove the virus.

To me, it seems real dumb to want to gather when the same thing could be done in the safety of their own home.

The communion wafers don’t fly very well and I doubt Padre can hit my mouth with his wine cannon at 6ft.

I can think of two methods off the top of my head to be able to provide communion wafers that would be safer. Given some thought smart people will be able to ID other alternatives.

#1 It is blessed, placed on a small napkin, the napkin is placed on a 6 foot pole with a flat surface (think of a shovel shape) but lighter, it wouldn’t have to be heavy duty as there isn’t much weight involved. the member of the congregation then takes the communion wafer.

#2 The Priest blesses the wafers that have been set out on a cart - again in individual napkins. In turn each parishioner comes forward and takes their communion wafer.

I grew up in the Catholic Church and don’t remember any requirement that the Priest handle it with his bare hands and place it on your tongue.
