Until you find out it was for the forced Transition Tuesdays program.

Ok, that got a chuckle out of me.

Talking about âweirdâ, get some of this:
âSuch a weird choiceâ, says Former CNN pundit Chris Cillizza
Even democrats confirm that Kamala has now checked the âweirdâ box.

What is the snap program for if not to guarantee kids donât go hungry? Plus free school and afterschool programs. Plus numerous organizations. Itâs not like Walz invented the concept of kids not starving.
Though apparently someone in Minnesota should have been more careful to see those Covid dollars went where they were supposed to go.

Indeed, every school district in Texas for one has free lunches available to any child who meets needs testing. I have yet to see Abbott take an exploitive picture like that, though (but maybe that will give him ideas).
In my school district, over the summer, a program was provided to continue free lunchesâŚthough it had more available than it had takers.

The good news is Kamalâs choice will have her campaign down by double digits within three weeks.

So cynical!
https://minnesotareformer.com/briefs/free-school-meals-overwhelmingly-popular-with-voters-survey-finds/#:~:text=Parents%20(85%25)%2C%20voters%20under,SurveyUSA%20poll%20of%20Minnesota%20voters.
More than 70% of Minnesota voters â including majorities across every ideological and demographic category â say they approve of the Legislatureâs decision last year to provide free school meals to all students, regardless of income.
Parents (85%), voters under age 34 (85%) and liberals (90%) were especially likely to support the policy. Conservatives (57%) and senior citizens (54%) were least likely to approve of the change.

Those free meals for those who need them have been available in Texas schools for ages. Why was Minnesota so far behind?
Maybe she should drop Walz and see if Abbott will change parties.
But why on earth would you provide free meals to the wealthy? That part sounds kind of socialism for the rich.

The Minnesota law is free meals for all public school kids.
Hear-tell would indicate that option is already on the table!

Yeah. Idiotic.
Some sort of it would stigmatize the poor to admit they needed help so we are giving it to millionaires kids too, I suppose.

Some do. The wealthy then. Why not put everyone on wealfare so the poor wonât feel stigmatized?

I donât think that would be supported by 70 percent of Minnesota voters like the school lunch bill is.
I can assure you that âfree mealsâ in public schools will have zero impact on the election. But it is a good distraction to take the spotlight off Kamalaâs choice for VP, who now has a big problem with stolen valor.

If people in Minnesota want to provide free lunches to people who can easily afford them, then that is their choice and good to them. Just donât pretend that program is fulfilling some great need to lift people up. It is providing handouts to those who donât need them. This is not some great social need that prevents kids from going hungry.

More importantly, it will have zero impact on the election, which is what we should focus on.

They hope that talking about this welfare to the wealthy program will distract from talking about his efforts to support Minnesota as a sanctuary state.

Well then, let us stop talking about their shinny object used for distraction. How about his stolen valor?

Some kids were going hungry, and the program helps them. And free meals at school can save families money at home and lead to better outcomes for all kids. Maybe thatâs why itâs so popular?
