If this is true, should Kamala Harris be cancelled if her Grand Parents and Great Grand Parents were Irish Slave Traders? Should she be cancelled for the sins of her ancestors? Should she have to pay reparations?

I dont believe that she should be canceled if this is true. But I would like to watch the woke change their position on reparation’s. This is interesting if true.

Exactly. It simply means (if true) one of Kamala’s slave ancestors were raped by the white owner.

It’s not what you think it is either. There is no record of anyone in Kamala’s family ever being a slave. She is not the descendant of a white slave owner having mixed babies with slaves. She is a descendant of the white slave owner’s white son marrying a free black woman.

Now, it is possible that that woman, may have earlier been a slave, or was the child of slaves. In fact, it is likely; however, that has nothing to do with her white descendants.

I for one, have the same shoe size and skin color as slave owners but

  • most of my ancestors were still in Europe during slavery
  • those that were already here fought for the North in the Civil War
  • one of my ancestors is black and one is an American Indian.

I am not sure who I am supposed to hate/punish/charge a fine,
what I know is that assuming one’s guilt based on skin color or ancestry is pretty stupid.

It was common in French colonies. Not so much British colonies. Views on race were different.

British and later American views on race operated on the “one drop rule.” Thus we never developed a huge population of what the French called “colour de libre” which was basically a fancy term for mixed people that existed as a separate group. In British colonies and later the United States, under the established rules on race, mixed people were considered black unless you could pass.

Like theoretically my son could have passed that test because he basically has the same skin tone as a Cajun. He’s 3/4 white and 1/4 black. He also has “white” hair. If paternity was unknown, he could probably pass as a Cajun. I can’t though. I’m half black but I look black.
