Right. Same way the $7,500 EV subsidy wound up in the pockets of the car company. Then the seller can take that into account in the price and the buyer can think he got something.

Re-read my post, it explained the issue.

I agree ownership crushes renting…IF you have access to funds for maintaining, and emergency repairs.

Opinion piece with data.

Harris is a populist.

I know what caused inflation. The point is the food industry rose prices greater than inflation to increase profits. Harris’ price gouging ban is good policy.

There is no price gouging and even if there was, it isn’t the purview of the government.

When has government putting its hands in the private sector ever made things better?

There is price gouging and they even admitted it in court a couple days ago. They were bilking the american people to boost profits. This is on just 2 staple items at one grocery chain. I bet many were doing the same all the way up the food chain.

“While testifying to a Federal Trade Commission attorney Tuesday, Kroger’s Senior Director for Pricing Andy Groff said the grocery giant had raised prices for eggs and milk beyond inflation levels.”

No, there’s not. Harris is a populist who is trying to focus the mob on “stanky corpations” and away from the admin she was part of cause.

It’s a parlor trick as old as time. Simple misdirection.

Don’t fall for it.

Price gouging will take care of itself.

Stop advocating central government getting involved in setting prices in the private sector.

Dude…they admitted it.

Noone is saying they are the cause of high grocery prices. They used inflation to pad their bottom line.

no they didn’t

Testified under oath, but it didn’t happen.:rofl::rofl:
