Just Something Simple?

Where we come from helps to form who we are, but we should be ashamed to acknowledge that? Why is acknowledging our unique backgrounds a divisive issue for you and not an example of how special America is? How that diversity makes us stronger?

You can call yourself whatever you want.

Personally, I go for what is morally right, and what is also good for the country.

Because ultimately what is good for the country, is good for me in the long run.

Should jews stop calling themselves jews and just call themselves americans?

I already answered your question.

I’m glad you only heard what you wanted to hear though.

Good for you.
That is your right, to only hear what you want to.
and I respect that you have that right.

Where talking about Nationality, Heritage, and Ethnicity, not Religion.

So acknowledging differences in heritage and ethnicity bothers you, but not religion?

Do you somehow believe religion has been a less divisive topic in human history?

Oh… I know about those two.

How successful have they been?

:roll_eyes::roll_eyes::roll_eyes::roll_eyes::roll_eyes:

Nationality, and Heritages, and ethnicity are 3 different things.
You should know this. I’m not going to add Religion into the conversation,
when it’s completely different than what we’re talking about.

I’m an American, with Irish and German heritage, and Caucasian.

Yeah, I’ve always wondered why conservatives overthink ■■■■ so much.

Strange.

I thought your point was breaking down all the barriers of division by ending self identification as something other than American Man or American Woman.

That would naturally apply to other ways of self identifying like religion.

That would be why we’re on two different sides of the spectrum Ideological wise.
It’s because most of the Dems on here don’t even know what I mean or where I’m coming from with my point of views. And most of you don’t even try to.

Which is ultimately not respecting my opinion at all. Which inturn contradicts
what most of you preach to me about.

Not really.

Of the two examples that you given, how successful have they been at getting people to recognize them as different than what they are?

In one case age and in the other ethnicity.

One I believe is just a troll and the other had to go to some lengths to present herself as a different race, but when it was found out… just how successful has she been since?

This is the wierd part of this whole complaint. On one hand saying that that identifying by one’s ethnicity is a terrible and divisive thing but on the other complaining that one feels that it is somehow inappropriate to identify as an ethnicity or whatever if one is White.

It’s like someone wants to have it both ways.

It’s literally in your OP.

Where a person is born is not their Religion. They are born in a Country.
Sex- Male and Female is not a persons religion, it is their Sex.
Citizen, and America, are not Religions either.

If you look on the website that you’re typing on, you’ll see that Religion
has it’s own category for a reason.

Can Religion play a Role in deciding where a person will Live? Of course.
But it’s not directly linked to it.

Can you provide any examples of someone being thrown in jail for saying something politically incorrect or is this just you clutching your pearls?

So, you never wear green on St. Paddy’s Day. Or go to a parade, or just celebrate at an Irish pub?

I’m not even Irish but I love doing those things on St. Paddy’s Day.

Where I live we even have the Irish American Club and an Italian American Club.

No, that’s patriotism.

Being jewish can mean all 4 of those things…

See, I think so too, but the Democrat Politicians want the American People
to have to second guess themselves on certain things
that they feel should be Politically Correct.

No, you just support a President who doesn’t understand the difference between patriotism and nationalism, who foolishly embraced the latter, and now you are simply trying to re-define the word in his defense.
