That is now my question. FBI says it’s the pull rope that has been there since 2019. That rope is in many pictures and video. We know what it looks like. This picture looks nothing like that pull rope so one of these things is not correct.

Note that noose is not shown against anything, like a person nearby, that would give any hint as to its size.
Normally, unless you didn’t want the size known from the photo, I would think that you would do that.

Normally, unless you didn’t want the size known from the photo, I would think that you would do that.

The rope is also heavier. In the earlier photos (with the Menard car in the open doorway) the “rope” was a chord that was small enough that it hung with kinks instead of straight, as this one appears.

Someone is playing games with photos and alleging that they are “the noose.” Clearly the photos are of two different ropes with two differently tied knots.

A bowline or figure-8 knot would be optimal, but there are many others. There are knots that look similar to a noose but don’t slip.

And every experienced fisherman know how to tie them …

A lot of guys in NASCAR are avid fishermen.

OK, I checked all the NASCAR crap (don’t make me do that again ) and it states the sanctioning body released the photo.

However, IMHO what they released does not correspond with what the FBI stated. That photo does not show the rope that was there in 2019.
