Well for now he gets to wait in jail for his next trial. And also maybe his retrial on the 10 charges left over from today. Then we’ll see where he goes.

Updated, 5:25 p.m.: Michael Cohen, President Donald Trump’s former personal lawyer, stated Tuesday that Trump directed him to pay women to stay silent about damaging stories during the 2016 presidential campaign.
The statement came as part of a plea deal that Cohen struck Tuesday afternoon with federal prosecutors in New York.
“I participated in the conduct for the purposes of influencing the election,” Cohen said in court.
And probably an appeal on his 8 convictions.
Now as I have said all along, I think he’s guilty as hell. But I also think since the charges don’t relate to the Russian investigation they should have been refered out to a regular prosecutor.
And the September trial will be much worse for Trump, since it will focus on money laundering and failing to register as a foreign agent.
I am betting there is time for that, especially if Don breaks out his pardon pen.
What does this have to do with Russia?
What does this have to do with collusion?
What does Trump’s personal lawyer and Trump’s campaign manager have to do with Trump?
It’s all such a witch hunt.

He’ll likely end up in a low-security FCI.
The sentence will almost certainly be too long for a camp.

For those that think that it’s a partial victory for Manafort that the jury could not reach a verdict on 10 of the 18 charges, think again.
Manafort is SCREWED and RIGHTFULLY SO! Hoisted on his own petard.

Why you think it should have been handed to another federal jurisdiction? Given that the conviction rate in federal courts is something like > 90%, Manafort most likely would have been convicted regardless of federal venue.
Whatever else Manafort is, tax evader, whatever… make no mistake… he is a political prisoner.
Who must be pardoned.
No collusion.
Russia doesn’t exist.
He is facing 80 years, 10 years on each count.
However, that will likely drop considerably due to the sentencing guidelines. Most likely dies in prison regardless.
It has nothing to do with Russia.

Thanks be to GOD the charging document given To Special Counsel Robert Mueller included his taking action and investigating and prosecuting any other crimes that he ran across that were not specifically linked to the alleged Russian interference in the 2016 Election.

So when the entire investigation by Mueller is considered a witch hunt (papdopolous, Manafort, Cohen, et. al.,), are they considered victims or criminals?
