A large part of “the swamp” in this case was Henry Kerner. Guess who he works for now? Trump and his job…wait for it…is to investigate corruption.

The IRS “scandal” is a perfect example of how misled, disingenuous and dishonest Trump supporters really are.

At NO point was anyone’s speech suppressed. Whenever you hear someone state that, they are lying through their teeth.

Liberal and conservative groups with hyper-partisan names were given extra scrutiny when filing for tax exempt status, as they should’ve been. Totally reasonable profiling that at NO POINT interfered with ANY organizations ability to operate and exercise free speech.

But Trump supporters, perhaps due to dishonesty or just plan ol’ stupidity, keep banging this drum.

I’m not sure that number is accurate. Regardless, with the rise of tea parties throughout the states there were a lot of conservative groups forming up. Probably a lot more than liberal groups at the time.

The IRS paid off 427 groups of recently.

You have to work real hard on Google to find the number of lib groups held up by the IRS for “extra scrutiny”, as it was very few, but all articles mention it as thought it was in some way equivalent which is was not even close.

The Dems didn’t have nearly as many of these groups as the Rs. The ones they did have, did not contain the keywords that were used by the Rs. There is no doubt that the Tea Party and R groups were targeted, but the conspiracy theory that was being pushed and still is today did not exist. Many people wanted to prove that Obama had ordered this or this was some directive from the Administration. When you look into it, the idea was suggested by a McCain staffer.
