I saw Joker: Folie à Deux Saturday, and I kinda liked this movie. It wasn’t as bad as most people had said.
It had some flaws, but I enjoyed the performances by Joaquin Phoenix and Lady Gaga. I actually did enjoy the musical numbers,
It’s a decent film to see.
I give it a grade of an B.
ENJOY!

I haven’t even watched the first one. I’ve got a list of like 30 movies from the past five years I have to watch at some point.
I really liked the first one it’s a dive into mental health more than anything. I have heard nothing but bad on the sequel though. Seems like on rotten tomatoes the critics and users reviews are in unison bad on this one.

I’m not gonna build it up as some kind of a great movie, but I will say this… The critics and audiences are wrong. (And I didn’t really care for the first one that much, and am not the biggest fan of joaquin phoenix)
I went in absolutely torn between even seeing it in the theater or not after the horrendous word-of-mouth, wondering what could have turned a loyal following of the first film, franchise and character against it now, and was left thinking/anticipating…fascinated the entire time at where they would go next with this story.
It might be a unique take, but I think it parallels WandaVision in many ways.
If you don’t see it in a theater, at least see it.

A comment from a review on facebook so as not to spoil it:
The director completed his humiliation ritual. I’m sure his wife’s boyfriend was very proud and let him watch when it premiered.
