That he truly did. I knew it was imminent, yet when they broke in to announce he had passed, well it hurt my heart. It affected me physically. That took me by surprise. But in retrospect it shouldn’t have. He has been part of the big picture for most of my life.

Wow, tuned out from everything yesterday evening and missed this announcement. Knew it would not be long after it was announced he would stop treatment but never imagined it would be so soon.

McCain was one of the “RINOs” to me for many years, but I always respected his service, and learned a new respect for him as he actually stood out and up against the current insanity of the political world on the “right” these days. He stopped being a RINO these last couple of years as I saw so many others sell themselves out. McCain remained true.

RIP Mr. McCain.

I believe he genuinely did. He did his best for his Arizona constituents too, something I saw when living there for a few years. He was the real deal both as a public servant and as a leader.

This complicated, that is for sure. I am coming to terms with my own shelf life expiration date. I have spent my whole adult life making decisions and sometime much to my chagrin, the best option was not chosen. We should all reflect on what we did and did not do, and, balance out.
