That’s exactly what you tried to do.

Yeah that attitude really doesn’t work over a broad population. I’m a second generation immigrant from at the time West Germany and I sure in hell don’t want to carry around white guilt for what happened in Germany plus what happened in America which my family had nothing to do with.

People need to quit blaming the sins of the father on the sons and in this case of America the great great great great great grandsons. It doesn’t work most of the country don’t want to live like that in perpetual guilt mode and then be told things won’t be better until they are dead.

They’re more of a chance that the country will implode within because of all the differences of people than to worry about someone’s family tree. It’s not working in Germany and trust me they have been driving the guilt there since the end of World War II it’s just made produced more resentment, and now we are seeing for the fist time a right wing party the AFD making gains in German government.

From the time trump came down the escalator, all he’s done is divide. It was “us vs. them” at every rally, every tweet, every press conference.

He’s demonized Muslims, blacks, women, the disabled, etc. When has he EVER given a speech on unity? NEVER.

I’m glad he was defeated like a dog.

I remember how the night of his election he had people running down the streets yelling “not my President” and “resistance”.
What a divider.

Since you missed it - My opening proposal was to immediately grant citizenship to all illegal immigrants regardless of criminal status. Sneaky didn’t like that so I agreed to accept his opening proposal. But then he reneged on his opening proposal and took his ball home. So who was compromising and who was not?

That’s exactly backwards.

Big Hillary supporter, were ya?

The status of illegals was negotiated when immigration laws were written. This has already been negotiated. The law needs to be enforced.
Now, as far as negotiations, I would consider legalizing some of the 'dreamers" in return for cuts in legal migration.

Let’s pretend we weren’t divided before Trump!

Thanks for butting in while missing the whole point of the discussion.

Another one who completely misunderstood the conversation.

No, it’s really not. It’s you. Not a good try. My offered concessions are off the table. I tried to compromise and you offered nothing.

Accepting my proposal is not you conceding anything.

Agumentum ad populum.

Incorrect. That was not your opening proposal. You didn’t make one. You posted that after the offer and offered nothing in return. So no deal.

You leaping on my offer is not you offering anything.

Now if you had come back with “Ok, if you give me that on immigration, I’ll give you nation-wide Constitutional carry anywhere a cop can carry”, then you would have been making an offer.

As it is, you looked at the merchandise through the window and said “Yes!” but never pulled your wallet out or even when on the store. I am willing to drop $50 off this $300 suit. If you buy shoes, shirt and tie too.

I told you three concessions I am willing to make. Willing depending on what I get in return. If I get nothing, I am not willing to concede anything.

I can’t believe I have to explain this to an adult, I can only assume you are trolling.

Law of probabilities.

That was my opening proposal. So what if it came after yours.
This is stupid and boring so I’m not going to waste anymore time.

This whole thing started with my comment that compromise is a choice, and it is. That’s it.

If you think I’m trolling, well…

Have you taken a look at a map and which part of the country is hardcore Republican? Can you do math involving years?
