People like to mention ātoleranceā today mostly in sense of being accepting of different lifestyles, i.e. LGTBQ
While that certainly is an example of growth of tolerance in society and should be welcomed, individually tolerance is much better defined by allowing exactly that what you dislike or disagree with to be.
Obviously, allowing opposing points of view to be is not at all the same as agreeing with them or endorsing them.
