No, Spotify upheld the correct reality. Bye bye Neil. Move to Canada.

And they granted Neil his request. Did he see this coming?

I’m sure he did. It was his request.

Better to burn out than to fade away.

It’s Sugar Mountain and Neil just turned 20.

Just like he wanted…lol.

This is exactly how Stalin seized power.

Follow the almighty dollar.

Why should he move back to Canada?

And they granted Neil his request. Did he see this coming?

Probably. I mean I’m sure Rogan brings in more money.

I actually love the song Southern Man weirdly enough.

Of course, love Sweet Home Alabama as well ha.

Still Neil Young is an idiot these days. Especially with a move like this.

I thought he’d ā€œseen the needle and the damage doneā€.

Must have forgottten that lesson.

It’s the people’s fainting couch now, comrade!

Amazing the way has beens make fools of themselves in order to gain a crumb of relevance.

WWE and the Kardashians had/have very high ratings (followers).

Quantity does not equate to credibility or quality.

Young is an idiot, because he did not want to be associated with a service/platform that supports a conspiracy theorist?

This move will probably cost him some money…which probably will not effect his lifestyle…but it does show integrity.

I get that part of it. And yes it does show integrity on his part.

It’s still stupid. He’s punishing his fans who listen to his music on Spotify over what boils down to politics.

I happen to enjoy Neil Young’s discography. I consider myself a fan. I use Apple Music so I’m not losing access. But it sucks for his fans on Spotify.

Cable is like AM radio in the 80’s. A dying media looking for relevance… They need a Rush Limbaugh…

Why does everyone care so much what Joe Rogan thinks?

If you don’t like him, don’t listen to him.

Same with Neil Young. Who the hell cares that he’s on the same service as your music?

It’s the same crap the social right did back in the 1980s with metal and gangsta rap music. Just this time coming from the woke left.

Just let it be. People will listen to what they want to listen to.

Not everything has to be virtue signaled.

People like to mention ā€œtoleranceā€ today mostly in sense of being accepting of different lifestyles, i.e. LGTBQ

While that certainly is an example of growth of tolerance in society and should be welcomed, individually tolerance is much better defined by allowing exactly that what you dislike or disagree with to be.

Obviously, allowing opposing points of view to be is not at all the same as agreeing with them or endorsing them.

I agree.

Of course, it’s the same integrity as those willing to lose their jobs by refusing to disclose their vax status to their employers.

Both are stupid stands, in my opinion.
