When the only known buyer is a major donor who has received a committee appointment. This is especially true when the sales are supposedly kept secret to hide, I mean prevent, corrupt political influence. Has that buyer shown any previous interest in purchasing art from non political sources? Have any art dealers or purchasers with no political interests and who had not received a quid pro quo purchased any of Hunter’s “art”?
All this adds up this was a pay for benefits and not an arms length agreement for the purchase of art.

What the Bidens did is a far cry from Trump taking millions dollars loss and stretching that loss out over several years as a credit toward tax liabilities for those years. He was within the tax laws to do that. Some of us have done that as well. (me for one) We didn’t take money from taxpayers to enrich ourselves like the Bidens have done.
If you are ok with them taking a billion of OUR money to a foreign country in exchange for a few million, plus everything else they have done that harmed us, then say so and don’t back down. This piddly post “that makes me smart” says something, but I’d make it much plainer if I was ok with what Joe and Hunter Biden have done.

The Biden Admin is trying to broker a hugely valuable deal in which the Saudi’s will recognize Israel in exchange for defense guarantees and any significant prosecution involved Saudi corruption would endanger that goal.
I most definitely would not be OK with it. But since these allegations don’t arise above conjecture I don’t need to be OK with them.

I am for anyone who breaks the law having it’s full weight bear down on them and those involved facing the legal consequences of their actions and I don’t give a damn about the letter after their name.
Funds passing through LLCs aren’t a smoking gun, but it does fail the smell test. Sadly, my nose isn’t admissible in court. There should be SARs for funds coming into one of those if not multiple LLCs as well as specific tax filings for foreign sourced income. Funds passing through multiple LLCs require tax documentation as well and depending on the pattern, may also trigger a SAR. There should be a paper trail that may take time to put together, or it may have already been done by the auditors who were whistleblowers.
Why not make it 238 billion? Way more spectacular, and just as well-founded.
