I got the virus early on, did every precaution in the book was at the epicenter of when it came here. Wore a mask even when the WHO said not to, didn’t go out unless I absolutely had to. These were the days back in late March were it was almost impossible to get tested, as well as very little information about the virus itself. I got infected by my next door neighbor who didn’t know he even had it, one of only a handful of people I didn’t wear my mask around when we hung out and watched movies or ate dinner.

I wrote about it in the non-political section as it was happening a lot of nice people on the forum had nice things to say and support while I was locked up with the Chinese virus. I still wear a mask even with antibodies because although they say they don’t think you can be infected twice no on really knows a 100%, but it is beginning to look like the antibodies does work for how long not sure. Sooner or later unless this virus get’s a vaccine chances are a lot more people will get infected.

It is mandated to wear a mask and a huge fine in Germany to go out in public without one, but regardless since they opened up their economy cases are surging there as well as in France and Spain. It’s at the point Germany was put on the no fly list by the U.K.

Either we get a vaccine, herd immunity or stay inside the rest of our lives. Because sooner or later a kid, family member, or friend will bring it home to ya regardless unless one locks themselves inside and never let anyone in. If we remember no one was praised more than Germany for their handling the coronavirus early on, now this.

No. We are different. It transmits the same way as the flu. It attacks the same way as the flu. The recovery rate is going to end up close to the same. If we ever find out what the real numbers are.

Trump ■■■■■■ it all up because he’s a racist. We will have a 100% vaccine on January 22nd if Biden wins. The coronaplague will contract into non-existence as soon as Biden tears down the statues and bestows single payer on us, beginning with the blue states.

The riots will end, college will be free and butterflies will land in our hair. And when he hands over the 2nd term to some woman, we will be just like Norway. Then we can just stop having elections and meditate in a giant safe closet.

I’m not sure if a vaccine will be effective or if it is for how long.

I know it’s a hard decision but people really do need to get out and continue their lives. A person can stay at home but eventually, it’s gonna get you.

The truth is New York was the first state to get hit with this thing and they got hit hard. Nobody knew how bad it was gonna be, but they came up with a plan by following federal guidelines and through trial and error of their own. Was it perfect? Hell no! But they worked on it to find things that would work. Then the governors of Florida and Texas said screw those guys, we’ll do what we want. And Fox News cheered them along and now they’re being hit even harder.

I agree with you that we cannot broadbrush one side or the other in regards to this issue.

I will say it certainly seems that since the very beginning the majority of elected officials downplaying the seriousness of the pandemic have been Republicans. Yes, including Trump.

If only we had internal communications from people inside the Administration freaking out about how next to nothing was being done about the pandemic back in February.
