One of the DJ’s, “Dennis Erectus” would start playing a Disco song…and about 40 seconds or so in…he would scratch the crap out of the record…and then smashed it. Pretty cool for a 14 year old kid to listen to…

The song lyrics coupled with that location can be taken in a racist way…… who in their right mind would intentionally do that to their career?

Yeah, the only reason I listened was because of this controversy. I heard neither a controversy nor a good song. But I can see why some would take exception to the pro-gun parts. That’s more than likely why cries of racism are being caterwauled.

No it’s not. It’s irrelevant to the topic. Lennon- McCartney- Harrison-Starkey wrote, recorded and performed their own music. But prior to their profound success as a bar band they covered others songs like nearly every other artists.
Aldean is an artist and he’s handled by people that assist in making decisions what will sell records and shows. When the hypocrite left noobs at CMT made their decision they propelled not the video but the song to the top of the charts! It’s likely to be a freaking anthem of sorts. The actual writer(s), producers, Aldean and everyone else getting paid have been ecstatic! I know I would.
So your complaint is that people are aware there was a lynching at the courthouse? Yes, many are ignorant of history, but that doesn’t mean you and I have to be.
