I have no problem with Aldean making a bunch of money.
For ■■■■■ sake someone kill this thread already.

Then understand the motivation behind the story and tell them to kiss your butt. It’s done for divisiveness and nothing more.

A music video by country star Jason Aldean has drawn widespread attention in part for featuring a Tennessee courthouse that is known as the site of a heinous lynching that happened a century ago.
Nice goin’, Dude.

Well, this is a small town, and actually I don’t know hardly anyone not armed. Could be 50-50, could be less, could be more. I’m guessing more, but hey, it was a broad statement, so…ok, you could be right, but i doubt it.
As for small towns being notorious for being racist, maybe in your area, here it’s about 1/3 blacks, maybe one fourth Native American, and some Italians, the rest white. We all live mixed up together, not really like all black or Native American or whites clustered up.
This area was one of the first in the Nation integrated areas. Much of it was due to the mines here attracted Welsh, Irish, Italian, Black, and Native Americans for jobs, when nobody else would hardly hire them. I understand the Welsh, Irish, and Italians were treated as bad as the Black and Native American.
But hey, none of your post proves Jason Aldean’s song is anything the kooky, unhinged, easily and perpetually triggered left accuses it of being.

That’s rich when the entire left’s false accusations about this song is a HUGE gotcha’. They are always looking for something no matter how absurd or stupid to be triggered over to keep the race hate stoked.
Obama was a professional at it.

What’s really funny is he didn’t write the song.
He doesn’t write. He’s just a pretty face with a pretty voice.

Well, I guess then Miley Cyrus is RACIST! She filmed there too. So is all the other celebs who filmed there. That goes for the producers, the companies who made the films, & everyone who worked on them. What’s good for the goose is good for the gander.

Did you read the post you responded to? I didn’t say anyone is racist.

No I don’t think it matters 100 years later. Where you got married may have been the site of a massacre of Native Americans. I guess every single historical event should be researched endlessly before anyone does anything there ever again.
The left just wants something to be triggered about. Nothing more.

That’s true and most people know it. You try the illegal and violent stuff democrats do regularly in blue cities and you will likely be arrested or shot. Personally you come into my house as a burglar you will be shot if you don’t leave when you hear my gun racked.
Just like Dylan Mulvaney.
You guys went for that one hook, line, and sinker.

With the way leftists talk, you’d think every square inch of the south was the site of a mob lynching.

Where is the controversy over the CMT parent company Paramount’s production of “A Nashville Christmas” or a few other films using the same location?
Christmas celebrations on the site of a lynching 100 years ago?
Paramount should be cancelled doncha think?

Interesting thoughts from a story at Foxnews.com about the future of CMT…
To be honest I can’t remember the last time I watched…
But this guy is right. Good honest decent people all over the country are getting sick and tired of the insane liberal agenda getting shoved down their throats….(sorry was that too much…oh well!)
“ Country Music Television (CMT) angered many fans by pulling the video for Jason Aldean’s new song, “Try That In A Small Town,” but the network could have learned that Americans are sick of forced agendas if they simply paid attention to Bud Light, according to a financial guru.
“What we’re seeing as a trend in America is that people are exercising their free speech on businesses one way or the other,” entrepreneur Ted Jenkin told Fox News Digital.
“When businesses decide to take these actions, they also need to be responsible for the consequences,” Jenkin continued. “We saw it with Bud Light and other brands, and this could happen to CMT.” CMT could face Bud Light situation after canceling Jason Aldean’s video, financial guru says | Fox News
