I was hopeful, my friend. I still believe one morning you will wake up and smack your forehead in the realization that you have been hoodwinked into believing that your current political tribe has any - ANY - legitimate claim to call themselves “Liberal”.

I’ll just have to be patient, I guess.

Ray Ray is his own man.

Nobody else told him to act like an ass over storming the capitol…or did they?

I don’t think Ray Ray was on Trump’s side for one second.

Trump and his surrogates did.

I think the FEDS did.

Ray Ray isn’t talking and now nobody is asking.

Oh i agree that the left in its current iteration is getting less and less liberal. The support of corporate censorship, support of law enforcement agenicee etc. there is def some of that.

My ideology has been pretty much an open book on these here boards so it’s not all the bad.

That being said there is not a single doubt in my mind that given the success of gop wins during low turn out elections that they would do anything and everything (legal) to reduce turnout.

The Feds that was at the time controlled by the Trump administration.

So if we want to go conspiratorial then the most likely scenario is that Trump used the FBI to get people to storm the Capitol to disrupt the vote count in order to get Pence to unilaterally declare who the President is as per the Eastman memo.

We are getting further and further away from reality as Jan 6 goes into history bins. I mean there are still posters on this board who argue that Nixon was setup and that the real guilty party is deep throat.

You might have missed this one.

The idea that the entire FBI just loved Trump is a charming notion.

Ray Epps testified under oath that he has nor has had any association with the FBI

So there is that.

I would be satisfied with that if the prosecution was treating the other nonviolent suspects the same.

Not really seeing that.

In the case of United States v. Munchel, a three judge panel ruled those who “actually assaulted police officers and broke through windows, doors, and barricades, and those who aided, conspired with, planned, or coordinated such actions, are in a different category of dangerousness than those who cheered on the violence or entered the Capitol after others cleared the way.”

The ruling instructed judges to release Capitol riot suspects, even if charged with serious crimes, unless the Department of Justice demonstrates a specific threat that defendant poses to the community.

I put Ray Ray in the bold category. Perhaps his inquisitors missed the video we saw.

Mistakes happen.

So you don’t believe his sworn testimony… that he perjured himself?

That because the DOJ did not charge him that he is indeed secretly FBI.

makes some sort of sense I guess. But not really.

Why is seeing such conflicting video evidence incomprehensible to you?

As a supporter of Trump I am very upset that these rogue idiots either were coerced or were emboldened to step beyond the standards that were set by every other Trump event.

Either Ray Ray is another loser that should be prosecuted or he is getting some type of break. There is no nuance here. Ray Ray conspired to remove official barriers that led to the arrests of hundreds. he MUST be prosecuted.

Whoever gave him the green light made a mistake. Period.

Or… he didn’t commit a crime that they can charge him with. So there is some nuance. It is not an either/or situation.

It isn’t that he either must be prosecuted or it means that he was FBI.

That makes no sense.

That he is FBI does not equal getting some kind of break. It is the easiest and obvious assumption, not the only one. Something just is not right here. There were others that have not been identified that may be able to shed more light onto how these idiots thought what they did was at all beneficial to anyone.

Trump benefits with a large crowd asking questions of the election.

Trump does not benefit with attacks on law enforcement which he DID quickly condemn.

Wow, white privilege.

Umm there is video evidence of the crime he committed, it is unlawful to tell someone to commit a crime.

What’s hilarious?

That you think the testimony of a criminal means much.

Trump tweeted about Mike Pence

While his supporters were smashing their way into the Capitol.

17 minutes later he tweeted

Testimony is showing that he was resistant in doing this.

We know that his family and advisors were imploring him to tell his supporters to stop. But he dragged his feet on this. When he did finally say something he said “You are Special. We love you”

So please don’t try to change recent history.
