So you’re saying that democrats didn’t import slaves, they just perpetuated the institution and continued the trading internally before seceding to preserve it, which lead to the deaths of hundreds of thousands.

The Democratic Party didn’t exist until 1828. So no, Democrats didn’t import slaves.
The people in the Democratic Party did perpetuate slavery and attempt to fight to preserve it. But yet, 2020 republicans are fighting to preserve the confederacy. Weird huh?
