Of course it wasn’t released to the public before the election. Steele didn’t come up with anything he could support so it would have backfired as the dirty politics it was.

In the interest of accuracy, Mueller did make a point of clarifying that answer later in the day:

As reported by Washington Examiner:
“I want to go back to one thing that was said this morning by Mr. Lieu who said, and I quote, ‘You didn’t charge the president because of the OLC opinion.’”

Mueller, who had agreed with Rep. Ted Lieu in the first hearing, said he now disagreed with that framing.

“That is not the correct way to say it,” Mueller said. “As we say in the report and as I said at the opening, we did not reach a determination as to whether the president committed a crime.”

No one is discrediting the report, the report exonerates President Trump of collusion with the Russians and obstruction. We are fine with the report… the point here is the hearings the democrats staged to rewrite the report in the eyes of a complicit media and deranged base. It was amonumential fail and all Mueller did was put Trump/Russia to bed for ever… AGAIN!
