Cal is crime ridden, filled with homeless, and the roads are terrible. We pay about the highest taxes in the US for very little

Taxation is the price you pay for not electing Libertarians.

I just sent an extra $800 to the state of Minnesota on top of what I pay out of every paycheck. Meanwhile:

https://www.house.leg.state.mn.us/SessionDaily/Story/17164

From the article:

The state’s projected surplus just keeps on growing.

What was expected in November to be a $7.7 billion General Fund surplus is now up to $9.25 billion for the current biennium, according to an updated budget forecast released by Minnesota Management and Budget on Monday.

“Mordida” :rofl::+1:t4:

It means “bite”.

No, they should have been widened decades ago. And that’s only the gas tax.

We (my family) drove on 80 from San Francisco to Tahoe a few years back

Seemed okay to me.

For that amount we pay in taxes it should be amazing!

I considered the analogy of Don Fanucci demanding to “wet his beak”, but he wanted a portion in ill gotten gains. The extortion engaged in by the government victimizes the honest.

Instead of a meme, I produced facts that the infrastructure law will help California roads like crazy

The Takers love it. They get all of what little they pay in back and then some.

Plus any numbers of freebies (for them) at contributing tax payer expense. :roll_eyes:
