South Bend, Indiana Mayor Pete Buttigieg officially jumped into the 2020 race for the White House Sunday; unveiling his campaign to take-on his fellow Democratic challengers and potentially President Trump in the coming months.

“The forces of change in our country today are tectonic,” he said. “Forces that help to explain what made this current presidency even possible. That’s why, this time, it’s not just about winning an election — it’s about winning an era.”

Recent polling shows Buttigieg making major inroads among his fellow Democratic challengers; routinely taking the third spot following former Vice President Joe Biden and Vermont Senator Bernie Sanders.
