It just doesn't pay to run from that mean ole process server

He is a ■■■■■■ for running from the process server. Be a man and accept the service of process.

He is ■■■■■■■ moron for thinking it would actually work and get him out of testifying.

:rofl::rofl::rofl:

Not surprisingly, it didn’t work. :smile:

I would note other attempts were made to serve him before the incident of him running away.

But a Federal Judge ain’t playing games and has ordered him to testify.

Next time, accept your subpoena like a man, Mr. Paxton.

Are federal judges elected?

Every time Paxton gets in a headline, it’s embarrassing.

Irrelevant.

But since you bring it up.

Paxton is an elected official. Which makes his conduct more egregious. It is one thing for a private citizen to duck a process server. It is quite another for a public official to do the same.

Moreover, Paxton is an attorney. Ducking a process server would seem to me to be conduct unbecoming an officer of the court. I think at the very least a public reprimand is appropriate.

In any event, the Federal Judge acted appropriately. Paxton is a public official and he knew damn well that he was being subpoenaed to testify. The court need not tolerate an attempt to evade a subpoena, particularly when the intended recipient is an elected official.
