House Minority Leader Nancy Pelosi weighed-in on the growing number of Democratic lawmakers refusing to back her candidacy for Speaker of the House this week, bizarrely suggesting the media was “undermining” her political future.
The liberal lawmaker was speaking with MSNBC Monday morning when she was asked to comment on left-wing legislators who are increasingly calling for a change in leadership within the party.
“If the Democrats take back the house, why not give up the gavel?” asked MSNBC.
“First of all, I know NBC has been on a jag as one of their priorities to undermine my prospects as speaker,” said Pelosi. “I see up close and personal what the Republicans and this president are doing.”
