Isn't it false to say that the new tax laws will hurt most people is states like NJ?

I am not because I am now the proud owner of three separate LLC’s to maximize my tax savings.

Since I work as a freelancer and I don’t have children, my taxes were effectively going to go up with the elimination of all of the deductions I could take and the capping of the SALT Tax.

That wasn’t my question.

It is kind of dumb to place individual blame on a collective responsibility.

What I have done though is structure everything in my retirement and later years as if none of those entitlements will exist because the Baby Boomers who have enjoyed having the social safety net and good infrastructure decided to not pay it forward to the next generations.

Even my generation, Gen X, has kind of sucked at making sure funding exists in the future for these things.

There are people who will be hurt, there are people who will benefit.

If I had not not taken the steps that I took, I would be one of the one’s being hurt.

Not everyone has the resources that I have to do so though.

Your tribe. You had Obama for 8 years. What did your tribe do about infrastructure?

Sounds sort of like Obamacare.

Never voted for the guy.

Obama sucked at a lot of stuff. He did try to get the best healthcare bill that he could get through congress. Single payer would have been much better.

There was also the problem with coming into office during a massive financial crises that would have been the best time for deficit spending but as I recall that was considered Socialism back then.

They did get some spending on Infrastructure in 2013… but that was really the last major bill addressing that need. The one in 2015 died in the Senate because Sanders wanted to place taxes in it to pay for it instead of relying on deficit spending.

Yep… the ACA does suck in a lot of ways.

Would have much more preferred single payer.

Would have been cheaper too.

Doesn’t matter if you voted for him. Your tribe did.

More socialism. There goes your infrastructure money.

It has been proven over and over that single payer is by far cheaper than the system that we have now.

So in light of that… what you said makes no sense.

No it hasn’t. We’ve never had it.

Now I won’t be the least bit surprised to hear about how you home schooled or used private schools but most don’t and this is just one reason your statement about me getting more than I pay for is complete horse hockey.

If I have to help pay for your stupid kids then you should have to help me pay for my stupid health care.

I much rather see a tax payer get their money back versus that tax payers money going to a person who refuses to work and better themselves and don’t contribtibute.

Are you saying that people who choose to be childless aren’t contributing?

No not at all. Tax payer who have kids are getting a tax break and they are getting part of their money they are paying into the system. Its no different than a tax payer who don’t have kids and chooses to add solar panels for a tax write off. People who pay into the system via taxes deserve the tax breaks.

Why should tax payers who have children have to pay less in taxes than a person who doesn’t have children? Why should I have to subsidize your chosen lifestyle? I think you’re being irresponsible if you’re having children and you need other people to pay for them.

And I am not using other people’s money. I am utilizing a tax break just like you can with buying hybrid. I am getting my money I put into the system not yours. Just like you itemize and get your money back that you pay into.

I’m glad that your chosen lifestyle gets subsidized by those of us who are fiscally responsible. I just wish taxes were at a point where we weren’t running trillion dollar deficits.

You do care about the debt. Right?

We are only to care about the National debt when the President has a D next to his name.
