In my opinion, no.

You are taking Kelly’s assertions as fact?

The person who who claimed Jesus and Santa were white?

Many.

Al Jolson was on stage, the movie of the day.

If I am in a movie, it’s ok? Not racist?

I am not ready to take her account of the situation.
If what she says is true, it is over the top, and and there are some SJW that take things too far.

I will try to find the actual facts, vs her opinion.
She has been complaining about the NY schools for a while. Schools that cost 50k a year. She has 3 kids in school.

In between the beatings and/or raping, and having their children sold off., I am sure they were quote lovable and faithful.

I agree I should have said “if”.

Sure.

Slave were really well taken care of… they had houses, food and water.

LOL. Sure.

Enh…this thread went in a totally different direction than the OP intended anyway.

Because they were beat, raped and not free?

Yeah, her kids go to Collegiate - where kindergarten costs more than a year at NYU.

You really need to read some different history books.

 Sure.

The term “blackface” rightly has a lot of racist connotations based on its use in the Jim Crow era for racial stereotypes that were the butt of ridicule.

On the other hand, if trans-gender is a valid choice then logically trans-racial should be also. It is arguably the ultimate response to demands to be “less white”.

What made blackface “racist”?

What should be claimed is that pretending to be another race in order to mock and make fun of people of that race is racist. Example: Minstrel shows. Northam.
The “wokeness” that people complain about is when this gets carried too far.

Yeah you kind of ignored the other movie he mentioned that portrayed the KKK as the savior of the Reconstruction South from the carpetbaggers and black people.

Uh minstrel shows? The fact that blackface was intentionally based on explicitly racist depictions of black people?
