Is This Justice?

Was justice served?

Maybe maybe not.

no. next question.

Not only is it not justice, it’s a perfect example of their puffery.

He should demand the same sentence that a black man would have received instead of depending on his white privilege to save his pasty backside.

No. But as we can see, the “he deserved it” defense is alive and well in the thread already.

they offered a deal, must be a reason

Plea deals are a dime a dozen but damn, seven people he attacked? I really have a problem with plea deals being the new norm. Not that it’s all that new, but it seems to me that they are more numerous than ever. Also, and actually worse is that they (plea deals) are known to put many innocent people in prison.

Language warning

Coward.

Sad but not unexpected.

Or… maybe a better way to think about our legal system would be asking that they stop mistreating black men. Just a thought.

That aside, I think justice would have been better served if he actually did some time. Maybe a year and out in 9mo for good behavior.

No, he’s a pansy. Weren’t you paying attention?

Sure. Nothing guarantees we will all be happy with what gets served.

Poor baby. His rant last year is laughable at best.

My name is Eric. I’m currently facing years of prison time as the result of accusations made in the most shockingly hateful parts of the internet. On April 19th I began being targeted by a dedicated swarm of internet trolls known for spewing racism, xenophobia, and misogyny onto the web. Suddenly a hit piece by Milo Yiannopolis caused the targeting to go viral. Several old social media photos were posted, online accounts hacked, addresses published, hundreds of calls to my employers, and countless threats of physical violence made against me, my coworkers, friends and many others. This harassment campaign is where the accusations against me originated.

Maybe someone can give him a new bike lock?

The guy with the staples in his head should sue him for civil rights violations. If he owns or ever owns property in Cal, it may result in a payday.

I would also support the fed charging him with a hate crime.

He is no better than the people he is protesting against.

On the face of it I would say no, justice was not served.

But, as another poster mentioned plea deals are done all of the time.

What is of more concern to me is this individual may not feel remorse for what he did. Getting just a slap on the wrist could serve to further embolden him.

Civil action against the scum is definitely on the table.

A plea deal with no jail time for 7 attacks?

Note to self: Commit next battery in California.

Has there ever been a better case of “danger to the community”?
