White privilege is code for socioeconomic privilege. Not all whites are privileged but the rich are and they want to throw smoke to confuse the issue.

Poor whites are sacrificed to ease their guilt but their kids are going to get into the college of their choice through legacies.

To me it makes you naive to believe you have benefitted from an imaginary providence that effects one particular racial group in it’s entirety. Similar to claiming “there but by the grace of God do I prosper.”

Call it out and learn how to defeat it. Exactly what my parents did for me. Never ONCE did they tell me not to try because of an oppressive system. They just told me how to navigate it and become successful.

Which is amazing since they lived in poverty (and their parent and their parents… then slavery)… but they figured it out.

Anything can be an excuse, to not try, if you choose to use it that way.

Man it sucks when that happens…yet you do it all the time. Let me guess, you are privileged?
