I’m not even sure why “the indictment” is relevant, since the FBI already had all Hilary’s email servers months before Trump made his joke about the missing emails.

I have read the indictments. All the GRU agents are charged with hacking the DNC server - NOT Hillary Clinton’s then-defunct server, in the possession of the FBI.

The SERVER he was joking about was HER PRIVATE SERVER when she was the SecState and he joked that if they had hacked her they should release what they gleaned, because she had deleted them.

YOU are trying to deflect to the DNC hacks and hacks that happened to OTHER SERVERS during the election and WELL BEFORE his joke. Whether countless other hackers tried to hack DNC or campaign servers, once all the hacking mania became a big deal in the press is irrelevant.

Okay, that’s the indictments against 13 or so Russian trolls.

I’m not even sure how much faith to put in that indictment. The Mueller team isn’t even wanting to defend it, since it was assumed no Russians would bother to appear in court over it. But one entity did appear, and as far as i know Mueller is refusing to allow them discovery of evidence.

On page two I read this:

Here’s what I believe:

I believe that there is a very good possibilty that when Hillary Clinton was SecState her private server was compromised. I believe that because the TOP intellignce people from the government believe that and have said so.

I KNOW that she deleted 33,000 emails that had been subpoened because she admitted as much and the FBI forensics guys confirmed that. I know that NONE of those emails were ever leaked by anyone to the public.

I also know that the DNC and John Podestas emails were released by DCleaks in June of 2016 and by Wikileaks in July of 2016, so everyone was talking about hacks and leaks LONG BEFORE Trump made his joke about her server - which was NOT a part of the leak conversation, as NONE of her emails was ever leaked.

What we STILL do not have is any actual proof of who got the DNC emails and Podesta emails or indeed if they were actuallly hacked or just downloaded, instead. We just have an indictment that will NEVER come to trial.

That is a direct reference to what is known as the DNC leaks and the Podesta leaks, and that has NOTHING to do with Clinton’s private server - the butt of Trump’s joke. Those leaks were perpetrated long before his joke.

I’m sorry, but I have maintained from the start that the butt of Trump’s joke - the deleted emails from Hillary Clinton’s private server - were LONG GONE before the joke and therefore he could not have directed anyone to hack them. That was exaclty why it was funny - because we will never get to see them UNLESS indeed the Russians had hacked them years earlier, and decided to release them - and of course they did no such thing.

It’s you guys who have deflected to any other emails or hacks of the 2016 campaign.

Trump NEVER directed anyone to hack anything. That is a LIE.

Trump’s claim that the FBI investigation was rigged was about their preconceived outcome - not whether or not her emails had been deleted. THEY HAD. She admitted as much, as did everyone else involved with them, and no one disputes that. Not Comey, not Clinton, not her lawyers, not the Congress…no one.

Your insistance in gong back to this well isn’t doing you any good. It is irrelevant. The only question was WHY she deleted them. She maintained that it was because they were nothing but yoga classes and wedding plans and none of our business.

I think i see what the left, and the Trump hating folks are trying to do here.

They are referring to Hillary’s newer email server, not the one the FBI confiscated, and not the one with the 30,000 deleted emails, but the one she and her campaign was using. They are trying to claim that it was not being probed by hackers, until Trump made his “Russia, if you are listening…” joke.

This is a false assumption. I just looked at the indictment, and I’ll post what it says was being done around the time Trump made the comment.

You will see that just before Trump made his joke for Russia to find the missing emails, hacker groups were being urged to hack into any email server connected to Hilary and the Democrats, because their DNC Convention was approaching.

Hackers probed and prodded before and after Trump’s joke. the hackers had a running mission for June and July, to hack hilary’s new server and the DNC. In other words, it was an ongoing assault, not limited to just Trump’s joke.
