Think of the United States as being a yuuuuuuuuuuuuge wagon that must be pulled by it’s horses, which are the tax payers. Having enough strength to pull it allows some who are elderly or disabled in some way to ride. There is a balance in who can ride relative to the pulling power of our taxpaying citizens. When those that want to ride, exceed the weight limit of those pulling, the wagon then stops and “we” are doomed. Allowing people into our country that pull less than their own weight takes us closer and closer to that day.
Closer? Checked the debt, deficit and unfunded liabilities lately?
Perhaps it is a weapon used by socialist to intimidate those who support a merit based immigration system, and one which promotes the general welfare of the United States and her citizens?
Just for the record, Emma Lazarus, who wrote the words you mention which appear on the Statute of Liberty was a well-known socialist, and the “poem” which she wrote was suggested to be used to raise funds to build the statue’s pedestal.
Additionally, immigrants coming to America who passed the statute on their way to Elis Island were not granted entry into the United States for a number of reasons. One reason to be rejected was the likelihood of becoming a ward of the state and a public burden.
Is it not reasonable for American Citizens to reject being made into tax slaves to support the economic needs of millions upon millions of foreigners who have entered our country illegally and legally?
So, now that we are more acquainted with historical facts, is it not in the best interests of the United States and her citizens for the Biden Administration to protect our borders and prevent an influx of the poverty stricken, poorly educated, low skilled, disease carrying and criminal populations of other countries?

I’m aware and I cry for my country. On the other hand, after you’ve given your very best efforts, it is now in The Lord’s hands and I have faith.
On a smaller scale I’m blessed with a beautiful wife of many, many years, adult children who are doing well and love their mother, grandchildren, a great family, many friends, you and Hannity Land and a super cool dog that is an excellent hunter. Life is good.

When it comes to healthcare and helping the needy, our socialist Democrat Party Revolutionary Leadership has no moral compass whatsoever. They refuse to make the distinction between CHARITABLE GIVING and tax tyranny to support the health care needs of millions of illegal entrants and foreign aliens who have invaded America’s borders.
If the aim was to protect the USA, the former president’s cutting of foreign aid was antithetical to that goal.
Yeah…keep cutting those checks even when you don’t have the money and just lay that debt on the backs of American babies that haven’t even been born yet…amirite mate?
