Is this news too good to be true?

I would argue that such a controversial subject would be better left up to the states to decide. Or at the very least congress.

Congress abrogated its authority back in the 70s and relied on the courts to make law where none existed before. Which is why Roe was such a poorly written decision.

It’s the job of congress or the state legislatures to regulate such policies.

Yep this does nothing in the red states but could greatly bring out disenfranchised Dems in elections that are tight. Biden sure as hell not attracting them. This has a Harry Reid feel to it,

The discussion wasn’t about flagging posts to be taken down.

It was about “in kind support” being given by the media. Both left-leaning and right-leaning media do this in spades. Why do you think the media is filled with former government/campaign people?

And the studies have been posted that show that despite constant cries of censorship from the right, right wing messaging predominates on social media.

If you think people were out there would have voted for Trump “if only the Hunter Biden laptop story had been allowed to spread”, you’re going to have to provide some evidence for that. The Hunter Biden laptop story spread…people knew about it…regardless of Twitter’s New York Post ban.

And by the time even the Post ran with that story, millions of voters had already cast their ballots anyway.

There is zero evidence that the right/left media thing is anything other than a metaphor for the Coke/Pepsi battles. Each side easily gets its message out that their soda tastes better…their market share hardly budges anyway.

Where almost nothing will happen.

To those opposed to abortion while they knew the hot potato was not gonna be handed them to act on it they’ll become quiet now.

And for Democrats this is a pile of little dismembered bodies they will gleefully battle for.

Quit your whining.

One side?

Your slip is showing…

It’s a good question.

I believe it might be one if not biggest election scam out there.

You haven’t learn a damn thing here have you?

How did that work regarding slavery?

Umm, it was legal federally for quite a while there.

To high heaven.

Provide text messaging or other evidence of active coordination and then we can talk. It’s probably out there.

My overarching thesis is there’s no inherent advantage from having sympathetic media. Left wingers have sympathetic media…so do right wingers. It stabilizes their market share…it rarely evangelizes.

I personally think RW media has the advantage of telling better stories, and so they can excite their base better.

Please, faint a little harder. Try to hit the couch next time.

This

Overturning RvW really won’t change much regarding abortion. At best it’s a symbolic statement. It’s not much of a victory for the pro-life side, nor a loss for the abortions rights advocates. It just jumbles the arena in which this ongoing issue will continue to circulate.

Precisely.

It’s amazing we’re talking about the election and Hunter’s laptop in a thread about (apparently) Roe v. Wade being overturned: a 50 year project, executed impressively.

What?

At least 12 states RIGHT NOW are limiting abortion. You don’t think more states jump in and join the party?

It allows states to restrict access to abortions and it opens the door for other restrictions, such as interracial marriages and same sex marriages.

For those who’s goal it was to pass abortion restrictions, this is a huge win. For those who want to mount state level battles against gay marriage this is a huge win.
