Pennsylvania, Arizona, Nevada, Texas, Georgia, Florida, North Carolina, Ohio, Michigan, Wisconsin, Iowa and even Minnesota was in play for a while. I Am sure there were more. Other states still matter, it’s just that the conclusions are foregone. Everyone knows Indiana will break Republican while Illinois will break Democrat. Neither are less important to the final outcome.

You just showed what the problem is. In a national election of 50 States, only a few thousand votes in a percentage of those States are the one’s that matter at the end of the day.

We have a system where it is becoming a less abnormal occurrence where voice of the majority is losing out to like 70,000 people in a few key States.

That is a super screwy way to run a government.

How was it different than the one before the last one?

Is your ID checked before you vote? Mine isn’t. If I pull out an ID, I’m told to immediately put that away. I’m simply asked my name and my address. There’s a ballot waiting for me but no one checks identification.

Then my identity is checked against the voter registration roles and I have to state my full name and current address for the nice lady pulling me up on the computer.
