Yeah, that’s not in the left’s wheelhouse at all, getting upset over a tweet.:rofl::rofl:

This is just this administration’s attempt at making groceries “free”. See college education for confirmation.

Well, no it’s not. Not when you’re attempting to deflect blame onto something else. It’s far easier to scapegoat something the average consumer is well aware of…that they deal with on a daily bases. It’s far more difficult to scapegoat some nameless up the line supplier that the average consumer likely never even heard of.

Do any of those top four producers have a profit of 26% like Apple, for which you say “good for them”?
People choose higher prices for brand items that they trust. That is a consumer choice.

Yeah but i think even the average voter gets that it is a sham but i could be wrong

The average voter is going to skyscream about whatever their favored candidate tells them to be angered about.

hard to shop lift from amazon, but the porch pirates are trying their best

(don’t worry, they aren’t even arrested, let alone prosecuted)

Profit margin and profit aren’t the same thing. It’s a volume business. Using the profit margin is a ridiculous attempt to make it seem like grocery stores are already struggling. The profit is in the billions and they are entitled to every penny of it

I had to teach so-called college-educated libs how to properly divide and multiply to get a percentage.

Basic elementary math, and they fail at it, while trying to call someone else stupid for knowing the actual answer (basic elementary math).

They would love nothing better than a socialistic/communistic government with them in charge and no elections or if there is one a putin style election.

Apple makes a high end product that is not necessary to live. Last I checked, humans need food.

Any smart phone can basically do what a Iphone can do, for s a lot less. There is competition.

Many of the the suppliers to the grocery stores make double digit net profits. Why are you defending monopolies?

I will gladly admit that as a post graduate i am horrific at math. Numbers no make sense lol

Then it’s a good thing you don’t show your mathematical ass to a group of number-destroying Mathematicians and Engineers.

Percentages are something I seriously expect my elementary school kids to have down pat.

Most companies operate of a fixed margin. When their costs go up, so do their prices.

I know that is hard to understand for some folks, but those are just the facts.

Looks like you compared net profit to gross profit.

As of October 31, 2023, Home Depot’s net profit margin was 9.92%. Profit margin is the percentage of revenue a company keeps as income after subtracting expense.

Yes, you’re right.

Choosing a Brand like Apple or Cherrios are neither necessary nor monopolies. Why are you defending IPhones and not Cherrios? You don’t need either to,survive.

Profit margin of Apple 26%
Profit margin of General Mills 12%

Net profit of the world’s biggest food wholesaler not based on brand names is Sysco. Net profit 2%.

Dont go for the big brand items.

Sysco sells to Restaurants and hotels…not to grocery stores.
