As to the obvious response “but some white people ARE racist”, I say “but some black criminals ARE thugs”. And yet, the use of the term “thug” is deemed to be racist.

Calling someone racist, who says racist things, isn’t racist. Please stop. You are struggling.
Calling someone a thug, who does thuggish things, isnt racist either then.
Calling someone racist has become like some sort of nuclear option during a debate. Losing? Cry “racist” and you automatically win.

Its use in this country is 99% against white people. It is racist to call a white person racist.

You have a lot of legitimate complaints, “thug” ain’t one of them.
I am not aware ood that word being used in a racial connotation.
Using the word “Deplorables” isnt about minimizing them. Its about classifying their inner constitutions. Their bankrupt ethics and lack of moral compass. Using the word Racist is about classifying them as one who sees skin color (For the most part) as a reason to determine their ideology without foundation. Most black people I know are more racist than white people. Its not that they harbor ill will to white people as they have been trained (Yes I said it) to act and respond differently around white people. For instance. My wife (Who is black) was in an Uber last night and talking to me on the phone and said something to me which I cant recall but the first thing I said to her was, “Is the driver black, because you wold not have said that to me if he was white” to which she laughed and said “Yes”. Comparing Deplorables to racist is really a non-comparative.
