Is it ok to call someone a racist?

or is the term a negative? meant as an insult? or at least a micro aggression.

I understand the term is meant to minimize the importance of their point of view, like calling them deplorable.

But if we use that type of tone to describe a minority it is considered racism.

so what makes it ok for you to call someone a racist?

Huh?

If you do or say racist things then yes, it’s more than ok to call that dip ■■■■ a racist.

If they are truly being racist, then yes, it is okay to call them out on it. To use the race card and play victim is a different story. Also, there’s also an additional question posed by this answer: who defines what racism is? Where is the line drawn?

To me, racism is when a person of one race think that they or their race is superior or inferior solely because of race. (what I mean by inferior, they use it as a reason for their victim complex). Racist organizations, then, in my opinion, are the KKK, Black Panthers, Black Power, La Raza, etc. Anything to the extreme is bad, of course. This includes feminism, white supremacism, black supremacism, etc.

It boggles my mind how girls can call eachother the B word and black people can call eachother the N word, yet when someone of a different sex/race calls them that, they flip their ****. I mean, I would never like it, if someone, male or female, called me a ***** in any kind of tone. It’s just flat out disrespectful and it refers to a female dog. They are calling me a dog, in a derogatory manner. *Not that dogs are disgusting creatures, but still.

And why is the hatred directed at white people? Is it because they are the majority? If so, why isn’t hatred directed at those with a darker complexion in north Africa? Isn’t it ironic that if a girl is sexually assaulted by an undocumented immigrant or refugee, that they would throw the victim under the bus and support the perpetrator, solely because of their immigration status? So many questions, so little time.

Who decides?

Apples to oranges. Black people can call each other whatever they want including the “N” word. Take a good guess why white people are considered racist if they call African Americans the “N” word?

for the same reason white people should be offended when they are called a racist. it is a discriminatory term meant to imply less than equal.

I dunno, I’m asking you. :woman_shrugging:

I’m not the one saying it should be called out.

Why are people concerned what names African Americans call each other?

I would assume rascists would not consider it an insult?

Why are you concerned what names racists call other people?

I’m not, I want them to come out of the closet in full force.

Didn’t that happen when Trump was elected?

I will admit to this, though; whites invented the concept of psychological slavery. While slavery and racism have been around for centuries, the core beliefs associated with slavery are indeed, new. These include beliefs such as, “I’ll never be as good at x because all I’ve and my ancestors have been taught is that we’re a failure.” This is why the movie Black Panther was such a big thing. I hope this makes sense. An online friend explained this to me, and it seemed like a logical concept.

That doesn’t mean that they can’t pave a new path forward, though. It is up to them to be an inspiration to their community. And that doesn’t mean they can’t get inspiration from other communities. They have to want to solve the problem, not just sit on their butts and complain about it.
