I’m not talking about, certainly not recommending, a shutdown of government or business. I’m suggesting that responsible people are taking reasonable precautions to mitigate risk: masks, social distanc… oh, what’s the point? You (collective) have been hearing this for months. It conflicts with the narrative that recommending, even (gasp!) mandating preventive measures on which the medical and scientific communities agree is an infringement of your unspecified constitutional rights. I get it.

I’m not voting for Biden, but this particular argument just doesn’t fly with me and it isn’t a winning position for Trump. Yes, there’s been overreach by Democratic governors, but that doesn’t excuse the carelessness coming out of the White House either. This situation could have been prevented or at least mitigated more efficiently.
