He couldn’t even beat Ted Cruz in Texas, when he had 80million in campaign
money and Mr. Cruz only had 10million. I’m pretty sure that loss,
is going to follow him around for awhile. lol. possibly for his entire

I think we Dems are prone to pragmatism when the rubber meets the road. Electability is going to mean a lot here and despite his flaws he is a strong candidate.

Baggage is minimal when compared to Trump, you have to admit.

Presidential candidates, for better or worse, are looked at not by ideas and policies but personality and appearance. “Buzz”, so to speak.

Obama had that buzz in spades, great speaker but not a lot of accomplishments politically speaking. Trump had zero accomplishments but put butts in the seats.

As far as optics go, seeing a dynamic young guy instead of a tired older woman like HRC is a better contestant when going head to head with Trump. Plouffe needs to work on his message, and he will. But his fundraising skills are excellent, small donor stuff plays well with voters.

We can run black, hispanic or female candidates all day, but in the end it’s sad to say a tall white guy is just going to do better.

No Dem has won a statewide race in Texas in over 40 years, and he got pretty close.

Hell, Lincoln lost his Senate bid and then won the Presidency. It’s been done before.

Trump never even held public office before winning.

Beto’s running on his knees. Every word out of his mouth, he’s falling down and apologizing for.
He’s apologized for being white, for an innocent joke to told about his wife, for his comments as a kid. I think in a month or two he’ll be a joke. He’ll be known as the Grivel King.
