Someone close to me is falling for their sales pitch, & it looks too good to be true.

It sort of reminds me of those seedy used car dealerships that advertised when I was living in Florida:

“Bad credit? No credit? No money down. C’mon down to _______ Motor Cars, where EVERYBODY rides!”

Does it appear from the link, and/or anyone’s experience, this organization can be trusted?

I wasn’t familiar with the organization. Here’s what I found through a quick google search.

I don’t know much about them, but I have some friends who’ve worked with them - they’re an activist organization that protests unfair lending practices as well as providing loan services.

They seem to be legit, from what I’ve been able to find.
