The mask mandates have become a total sham. Even the Hollywood elites are realizing that.
We are seeing the collapse in the credibility of authorities who have repeatedly spread lies and misinformation. The same sort of thing happened during the collapse of the Soviet empire.

Spot on. I have no problem if an individual business requires, say masks. Similar to no shirt, no shoes, no service. But the government shouldnāt be getting involved with this.

Businesses have stopped enforcing mandates even when they are required by law. In California, thieves are free to walk out of the store without paying for hundreds of dollars in merchandise. Why would they waste time on the masks?
At this point there are two reasonable things to do with masks:

Choose to wear no mask so that you can breathe freely.

Choose to wear a properly fitted N-95 mask. This mask protects from COVID regardless of what others are doing around you.
The mask mandates on school children are union-enforced child abuse at this point.

I havenāt worn a mask since May 27th of 2021. Itās not required in my area. Nor will I go anywhere that requires them unless I have to be in a hospital. I wonāt go anywhere that requires me to show proof of vaccine either.
There is a silver lining to this. I am amassing extra cash over time. Iām not frugal when it comes to money. Iāll spend everything as long as it doesnāt put me into debt. But now Iām not even doing that. I have to find other ways to be entertained without travel. Itās weird. Because despite this, Iām in a very good place right now.

I am hoping to travel to Europe this summer, but I will not go anywhere that requires a booster.
The vaccines reduced the risk of serious infection, but there is growing evidence that the vaccines contribute to serious inflammatory diseases. I have seen virtually zero evidence related to the safety of boosters.
Even the WHO is saying that boosters forever is not a viable strategy.
Fortunately many European countries have already declared an end to COVID restrictions. Freedom!

I havenāt gotten the booster and donāt plan to. If they come out with something specifically for Omicron, I might get that in the fall of 2022.
I prefer to believe actual scientists, not the politicians in the White House who ignored their own advisory group:

I only have one problem with that headline. They make it sound like we have been experiencing the Omicron wave for months. As expected, because of itās high transmissibility, it subsided as quickly as it rose. Now, in the next couple of weeks, we will learn how much less lethal it was compared to the previous strains.
