No worries. I went back and looked at my post. It was kind of vague and could have been interpreted the way you took it.
I will say in today’s 24 hour media world where everything is inflamed to The Most Dire Thing Ever, such an approach as I laid out would be very difficult.

If you go back and review the discussion you will see that I responded to your post (to another poster) about cheap shots. You responded to me accusing me of tossing Trump hating zingers into the discussion.
Raise your hand if you’re confused.
Is this a tangent or a cosine?

Personally Iran is hurting themselves and just digging a deep hole.
The sanctions are working, the world will turn against em if they keep going.
Now if they start killing Americans…then we have to respond.
But those drones should have been designed to be expendable. So why do they cost 120 mill a copy? Seems like lot of money.

You libs have totally lost it.
Trump did the right thing and you all know it…but yet libs can’t bring themselves to admit it.

Not knowing what equipment is in them, I wouldn’t know if they could be done more cheaply.
One would hope they could be.
The only time trump does the right thing is when an adult intervenes.

They reasons why we build them is because they should be expendable. But damn, 120/130 mil per copy?
Apparently it’s not because of stealth technology.

Not this time- in this case, he was the adult who intervened.
He was right- one drone was not worth 150 civilians and potential escalation.

I seriously doubt he was the one who made the final decision. And especially doubt he knows or cares about a proportional response or anyone’s life but his own. Well, maybe his family.
He’ll never be the adult in the room. Never. Only happenstance will let it appear so.

Sorry- I know who was in the room with him.
He made the call.

No need to be sorry. But it’s a waste of time to put lipstick on this pig.
You realize it would screw up his Tee Times right?

Hey Conan. These drones are great at staying in the air forever and picking up every kind of information possible. But they’re not meant for hostile areas(enemy air forces or high altitude SAMS). There are way cheaper drones and I’d bet we’re using those over the Gulf today.

You think Pompeo or Bolton called the thing off?

I happen to be glad he made that decision, whatever his reasons.

Just seems outrageous prices for something that’s so easy to be brought down.

Evidently they are the size of 737s…crazy…
They have cameras in them that take some insane amount of images per second.
re: Iran - I think a real problem with the scenario set up by our withdrawal from the agreement is, we aren’t really with the world at this point. The other issue is, our sanctions are actually allowing Iran to gain some sympathy from some parts of the world.
Also, and probably most importantly, when Russia strengthens their ties with Iran, we won’t have the benefit of a many country alliance to push back with. It will be just us…
