Evidently they didn’t provide anyone else with evidence of a potential threat either, according to several Pub congresscritters.

Give the Iranian People the heart and strength to legally and peacefully depose fanatic leaders.

What a ridiculous person. I’m sure they’ve appreciated the sanctions you’ve re-imposed since tearing up the agreement the U.S. had with them before you came along.
Freaking F 100 series have not flown since Viet Nam…
Unless your being sarcastic…lol

You’re barking up the wrong tree if you think I think we shouldn’t confront the Iranians. I just like it to be done more intelligently. From 2014-2016 I had been hoping every time Soleimani was in Syria that one of our CIA TOW-vetted groups would get a good shot and take him out. Cause that would have been shrugged off for the most part. Cause that’s how it works. The way we did it leads to the nation of Iran getting to fire ballistic missiles at our troops. That weakens us.

They get to fire missiles at us whenever they want to. Its not like they could somehow do it less if Soleimani were in Syria.

It does just the opposite.
It was the right counter after much patience.

You’re missing the point. I’m fine with striking Iranian and Iranian backed forces in Iraq and Syria. I didn’t complain about these strikes:
I did see it as an escalation, but I was fine with it. The Soleimani strike is waaay different and anyone who knows anything about world politics saw that immediately. It crossed a line. Right or wrong it crossed a line.

So if you were on some list somewhere, what would that list be called?
Yes, we shot down a civilian aircraft that was intentionally directed into a conflict zone on a track that appeared to be a plane lining up for an attack on the US fleet by Iran.
The FOF/ID technology on the Vincennes was about 3 or 4 generations behind what we have today.
The Iranians have 3rd and 4th Generation threat ID tech as well.
The first was a setup and not really preventable unless you were expecting US ships to not fire until after they’d already been fired upon.
The 2nd is gross negligence and incompetence.
He was a legit target period and been listed by the UN and every civilized country on earth as a terrorist for the last 12 years.
His travel privileges had also been stripped, he was barred from traveling outside of Iran in 2008.
The escalation was the attack on the US Embassy in Iraq at his direction and with his help.
Killing him was exactly the right thing to do.
EA-6B. …
That’s why we train in all environments where we may have to fight and sometimes you’re going to have accidents that kill people.
You do what you can to minimize risk but where humans and machines are concerned you will always have tragedies.

Hey Wildrose. Hope you’re good. Welcome to the discussion. Yeah Soleimani was a legitimate target, but so are a lot of targets. Targets we decide not to hit because of possible difficulties that follow. KSM is a legitimate target for killing a US journalist. There would be issues if we took him out with a drone strike.
I am fine pushing back at Iran, economically, diplomatically and militarily. But I disagree with the Soleimani strike. Not worth it. In my opinion.
And simply out of curiosity, you know the embassy strike was at his direction and with his help? How do you know that?
It was his militia, the leaders were identified.
KSM killed an An American Journalist? Please clarify.
Let me mention that Malaysian Airline’s MH17 was shot down over Ukraine. Both the Dutch and Aussie governments believe that Russia was involved in the shooting down of that aeroplane. And what does the now impeached president do? He cosies up to Putin.
