Why would you continue to send your child to a doctor that recommends treatments you are morally opposed to?

In certain situations.
Did those situations apply in Idaho and how was this determined?

You wouldn’t. You’d find another doctor who was interested in treating the mental disorder rather than surrendering to it.

It’s mostly lib parents pushing these premature transitions, and they’ve likely sought out doctors who would accommodate their agenda.

Which brings us back to, “How do you find a psychiatrist who rejects the DSM and Gender-Affirming Therapy?”
Is there any evidence to support this hunch?

My response to that is unchanged.

Yes. The fact the gender affirmation is a real thing in the minds of many people, including apparently, you.

Puberty blockers save lives?

The agenda? Yes. The dsyphoria? Perhaps. The affirmation process? It’s happening.
What do you think we have been talking about here?
Which was: “You’d find another doctor who was interested in treating the mental disorder rather than surrendering to it.”
How do you find doctors like that?

You’ll know when the doctor you’re seeing quits trying to talk you into giving your kid puberty blocking drugs instead of treating their dysphoria.
I might have read too much into “premature transitions”. I thought they were referring to doctors and parents looking to put kids on puberty blockers prior to 6 months and other counseling as per the DSM.
Since most doctors follow the DSM, that sounds very time consuming, expensive, and wearing on the child. At the very least make phone calls first asking if they reject the APA and the DSM… though I suspect that will still take a lot of time and phone calls.
You do know that puberty blockers are a recommended treatment, right?

Where on earth did you get that idea?

You’re over thinking this.
A diagnosis of GD requires one or more certain conditions that have been ongoing for at least 6 months.
