OK…I having dug in it that far.

Same here. We owed 1,200.00 because we failed to pay sales tax on some office supplies. The agent doing our audit said they most likely would never audit us again because the audit cost more than what we owed.

I voted for the Republican running for Governor, not the Democrat that was in office. I was told that was probably the reason for the audit. :joy:

Dems are the party of class disparity.

They have sold out the middle class for the dependent class and political beaurocrat class…all orchestrated by the global elite class.

Personal liberty is dead.

You want Tax Day moved from April 15 to Sep 15?

Why do you think that would benefit the working class?

a) Most working class end up getting refunds (itself a bad practice but most do it, about 75% if I am not mistaken) so making them wait until Sep 15 hurts them and lets the government keep their money interest free for an additional five months.

b) A lot of municipalities and school district schedule their property tax payments to come due anywhere from June-Sep so those who don’t get a federal refund get socked more at once.

So I am u clear as to how you think moving the deadline to Sep 15 helps the working class.

@JayJay

I’m going to fill you in as too why.

April 15th seasonal workers are coming off a hard winter…they’re bank accounts are drained…and season has just started or hasn’t started yet. So you have two option, not pay/file or don’t eat and lose your home.

April 15th is very tough time for lots of working folks. Sept 15th on other hand they’re fat with cash and their bellies are full.

so why isn’t it Sept 15th? To close to election maybe?

Inquiring minds want to know.

They know it is all about taxes.

Their base either doesn’t pay… doesn’t care what they pay…or are employees.

What part of “75% of workers get a tax REFUND” aren’t you understanding?

You’re going to make cash poor workers wait an additional five months to get their money back and you think that’s HELPING them?

PS it might actually be more than 75%. The 75% is for all taxpayers. It’s typically the higher income earners who plan better and make sure they either owe nothing or owe a little to the feds so they keep more of their money instead of having it withheld.

Seasonal workers if they owe…April 15th is very tough time for em don’t you think?

Don’t get me wrong Jay…I understand what you’re saying. I’m just showing other side of that coin.

IF they owe.

Very few do.

Remember a lot of lower income people owe no federal income tax at all.

How is this helping return manufacturing to US?

We forgot the March 2020 lessons already.

We know.

Big key to destruction of middle class.

Then thanks for agreeing changing the deadline to Sep 15 would actually hurt, not help, the working class.

I think you will find lot more then you think.

Self employed painter, roofers and yard maintenance just to name a few trades.

I’m just showing you other side of the coin…one that hasn’t been thought about or taken into consideration.

I also advocate no taxes until a person basic needs are met. That can be determine by society. But for federal government to take 1 penny from a person before his basic needs are met is a travesty IMO…don’t you think?

WHAT!?!

That can’t be right!

Well, some of those 87k are probably going to collect the 15%.

And those same people get free money in the form of EITC. Which is what is audited 5x via paper/letter audit.

And conservatives would have me believe they have a problem with auditing poor people
