“I see people in handicap spots that can walk just fine into the stoor unassisted.”
Maybe the tag isn’t for them, or the spot, but for a family member of theirs. I remember an article on FB about a woman whose autistic and physically handicapped son had soiled his wheelchair, so she carried him into Target to get a birthday gift for another child.
Some ass clown was sitting in his vehicle watching her leave the car carrying her son and left her a nasty note. Between the day’s events & the nasty note, the woman was reduced to tears, wrote the horse’s but a rebuttal letter.
IIRC Decals are issued based on hardship walking more than so many feet. Some have hidden conditions that periodically flare up like MS. Others have limitations like prosthetic limbs that won’t allow them to walk farther without trouble.
Someone parks in a handicap spot I have no idea what limitations they may have.
I get that Janet. I’m talking about people like my stepfather who thought using her tag guaranteed an up front spot. There are plenty around who think just like him.
Hey, I got a good one for ya: Back in the summer of 2010 I went to a BMW motorcycle rally with my mom and dad, and one of dad’s old childhood and high school friends he’d recently been reacquainted with through email or social media. (It was in Johnson City, Tenn) Mom and dad were in one hotel room, and I had to room with that guy over a long weekend. All weekend he complained about Obama, the upcoming vote on the ACA (which was total socialism according to him), and watched FNC, the Golf Channel, and Speedvision nonstop. Hell, a couple nights I rode down the road and had dinner at Hooters just so I wouldn’t have to hear his ■■■■■
Well, Monday morning rolls around. That’s checkout day. That guy is riding back to Michigan and wants to get a real early start. He tells me to text him what his share of the rooms is and says he’ll mail my mom and dad a check. After dad pays for everything his share comes out to $158. And that’s what I texted him. We STILL haven’t seen that check.

Am I the only guy in the country that tries to park between the lines, doesn’t use handicap/pregnant woman/veterans/employee of the month spots?
I usually park in the north 40 of the lot anyways so there are plenty of pull-in/drive-trough spots. I figure the little extra walking is good for me.
Hell, as I’m walking in and I see someone finishing up with their cart, I offer to take it in. (Sometimes I get a look of shock from the offer, sometimes they look at me like I’m a weirdo. )

I often park away from other vehicles when I bought my new pickup back in 86 only to come out of he store and see others parked around it
Ever noticed that? If not try it. What is it about people that feel the need to park their vehicles with other vehicles?
As for my OP…I’ve been wanting to say something to those ■■■■■■■■ for longest time. Specially when I’m with my big box truck. To see 5 spaces that was suppose to be for large trucks or vehicle with a trailer all filled up with compact cars.
They’re nothing more then inconsiderate ■■■■■ IMO.
I wonder if the store manager might do something about it if brought to his/her attention. Some Home Depots are run by jackasses and some are not, it’s hit or miss.
