I’m entitled to be paid a living wage, right?

I guess.

If you give your best efforts…in all that you do…then in almost all cases, no one has to assist you. It’s those that do not give their best efforts, in all that they do, that require some of your efforts, to make up what they would not give of themselves.

If someone works a full time job and still needs help to pay their rent, put food on the table and clothes on their back I would suggest that they are paid too little.

Many of these people use government assistance to make ends meet. How do you feel about your tax money subsidizing companies like Walmart?

Don’t forget many of Walmart’s employees use government benefits to also shop at Walmart. In effect, Walmart is double (and sometimes triple) dipping into the taxpayer trough.

Don’t conservatives look to the 1950s as the golden days when America was at its best?

Was that because of, or in spite of, the then current tax rates? Just wondering.

It’s a socialist talking point that the liberals have been using for years as part of the their divide & destroy America campaign, Democrats jump on it as part of the DNC political platform and campaign promises, aka lies!

Uh, what?

Do you really think that Dems/Libs want to destroy America? To what end?

I’m going to go out on a limb here as suggest that most folks on the Left want a better America, just as most folks on the Right do. They differ on their approach but if you would be willing to scratch the surface you would find a lot of common ground.

Saying the other side wants to destroy America gets you nowhere.

The thread shouldn’t exist because “income equality” shouldn’t be a political issue in the first place.

We have those things already.

You quoted someone who said it.

And the entire “income equality” argument is that the top dogs make too much.

It’s a legitimate question – when someone is actually making up something.

In fact, your insinuation is a fabrication.

If you are going to use that charge, use it honestly.

Every lib narrative compares the lowest wage earner to the CEO.

That extra pay for the unskilled laborer has to come from somewhere. If libs are going to be honest in their “income equality” rants, and if libs don’t expect it to be taken out of CEO compensation, then they will not point to CEOs in their narratives any more.

Of course that will never happen.

Further, the lib answer in this thread is to tax the top earners to fund higher minimum compensation. That’s TAKING IT FROM THE ONES WHO “make too much money”.

Be honest.

Be honest. Maybe YOU are not saying that, but other libs in this thread are.

To me, your posting in here appears to be deliberate disruption and nothing more.

Now who is making things up?

Or, at least, what their labor is worth.

No.

At best, you are entitled to get paid what your labor is worth.

They earn too little.
