Yeah ok. I accept your surrender.

What has been the effect of eliminating labor and demand, @thinkingman?

youre asking me what effect the government has had on an economy that they have forcibly shut down?

people out of work and high unemployment

And that there is the problem again. Shouldn’t be taxed unless we think you make to much.

No…I’m asking you what has been the effect of plummeting demand and labor from the economy? It does not matter whether the government caused it, or if some other thing had happened to cause it…what happened is the same.

In a nutshell…what has happened is demand for goods and services has plummeted, and labor has been removed from the economic engine.

What has been the effect of removing demand and labor from the economy?

Focus…open your left eye.

Remember that next time you hear and actor/actress getting millions to shoot a movie for a few months. Or the next athlete that is complainging because he isn’t getting his 100 million sallary.

Take Twenty Hannity Dollars out of petty cash…

That’s precisely what we were doing in 1950. Never should have changed course, imo.

You keep saying this.

They get paid what they EARN. If they get little, it’s because they’re not worth more pay.

As long as you stick with this, I’m going to consider your grasp of the concept to be ignorant.

Those were chief complaints of mine long before any of this COVID stuff and an apples to oranges comparison to boot, but whatever I guess.

Taxed only if someone thought you were making too much in the 1950’s? Really?

Try reading back in the thread. It was already discussed ad nauseum.

Everything you post would take a communistic and tyrannical government to implement.

I consider your ideas absolutely idiotic. And even dangerous.

A company’s profits are not the CEO’‘s money. They’re the stockholders’ money.

Again, your arguments are absurd and rooted in ignorance of what’s involved.

Labor is only one component that generates profits.

I’m saying, where there corporations in the 1950’s that were not taxed?

The economy didn’t create the current condition.

The government artificially shut down the economy.

Your argument is founded on error.

What makes a great businessman great? Their ability to make a profit?

A businessman isn’t there to take care of their employees.

As for “who is in charge”, union leadership is elected.
