I believe that to be a correlation error at best. Does it have an impact? Highly likely.

There are 29 million people in Florida. How many “illegals” have been moved to Florida? Then of those “illegals” how many had Covid

That is the problem entirely.

Exampled deaths from autos, and overdoses for the most part happen outside the hospital environment; I mean they arrive dead already, or close to it.
Now, covid deaths occurr mostly in a hospital setting after days of taking up a bed there.
Though the number that die from covid seems low by direct comparison; no death should be marginalized, the volume of those that survive covid, in said hospital setting, require many days of taking up bed space there to do so.
In short drug overdoses, and auto deaths do not completely shut down entire regions of hospitals, but covid does, and is.
Like a hotel, once a hospital has no vacancy, there is no vacancy!
Covid overwhelms entire medical systems, and collapses them by the volume of sick being treated, not by death.
You might not die from covid, but if you have a heart attack, and need timely surgery guess what?
No vacancy…
Most hospitals rely on one or several larger hospitals to perform more complex medical procedures.
When those larger hospitals are full, guess what?
No procedures get done… anywhere…
Auto accidents, or overdoses do not take up hospital beds to the point of collapse.
But covid does, and is now.
Lousiana is in bigly’ trouble.
It’s not a death rate only, it is a bed capacity issue, as well as death rate.
