Shameful that Moscow Mitch is allowing this to go on in the dark of night. This tells you all you need to know.

In your opinion has the Republican Party in the last 20 years moved further to the right as the Democratic Party has moved to the left?

It doesn’t tell you anything. I guess when the democrats had late night sessions several times in their impeachment it was all we needed to know? Well?

I consider Schiff, Nadler, Pelosi, & Schumer to be some of the most dishonest & corrupt people ever in our government. Almost as corrupt as Hillery.

There is currently an amendment to all the chief justice to decide who are relevant witnesses notwithstanding that the Senate could overrule his decision.

Surprise, surprise the Republicans OPPOSE the amendment.

Such a partisan position by the Republicans reflects that they are only interested in protecting Donald Trump. Nothing more, nothing less. Just base hypocrisy.

Interesting that the Republican Senators didn’t trust the Chief Justice of the Supreme Court to be able to determine whether a witness is relevant to the Senate Impeachment trial notwithstanding that the Senators could overrule his decision.

What a damning indictment on the Republicans’ view of the Chief Justice.

The Republicans don’t even trust the judgment of the Chief Justice’s judgment to determine the relevance of a witness. What a damning indictment on the Republicans’ view of the judgment of the Chief Justice’s competence in determining the relevance of a witness.

As I understand it and was stated by Republicans the House of Reps have no role in an Impeachment trial of a president. Therefore, it doesn’t seem to make sense to claim that the Democrats are trying to get the Senate to do the job of the House of Reps. It is the Senate’s job to have a trial.

As I have made the point previously, the Republicans don’t respect the ability of the Chief Justice to determine whether a witness is relevant to the impeachment trial. And to put it in context the Senators would still have the ability via a simple majority to overrule his decision.

@Medicswife2002 I am not sure whether you watched the vote re the Chief Justice being able to decide the relevance of the witness. Do you agree with the vote that he should not be the arbiter to decide on the relevance of a witness?

He’s just there for show.

It’s nationally televised live, anyone who is interested can watch every minute of it.

The source of the Mueller Report is the same source as for the impeachment, and for the same reasons. The motives of the complainants in a trial are always relevant, and the complainants’ motives for bringing charges in the past have a bearing in their motives for bringing charges against the same person in the present. It sounds like you’re nervous about the airing of evidence regarding the complainants motives. You should be.

It is the Republicans that is preventing witnesses appearing. Also, the Republicans don’t trust the Chief Justice to determine the relevance of a witness when necessary.

Your ā€œoutrageā€ is duly noted.

Guess how much it matters?

Who has the sole responsibility for trying the impeachment delivered to the Senate. The chief justice? Or the Senate?

I am not sure what point you are trying to make.

So what

I consider our current President to be more corrupt and dishonest than Schiff, Nadler, Pelosi, & Schumer.
