Here is how I picture the logic behind outlawing ICEs.
Scientist does a study. finds out Trans fats and oil are bad for you.
States, drop the word “trans” and outlaw the sale of all fats and all oils.
Scientist does a study and finds out a high sugar diet is bad for you.
States outlaw 100% of all sugar sales.
Scientist does a study, finds out one kind of ICE is bad.

Any 4th grader can extract pure hydrogen from seawater using
a battery and two electrodes or
a solar panel and two electrodes.
Years ago my 4th grade son did and I got advice on how to capture that hydrogen right here on the Hannity forum.
When he separated the seawater he created hydrogen and oxygen (and salt was left over.) When he burned the hydrogen it turned back into water. 100% water no Co2 no new greenhouse gases. PERFECT.
At current technology it still costs too many dollars to separate seawater and create hydrogen that way, but with the right technology, maybe one day. Too bad 100% of all ICEs of all types and all fuels will soon be verboten because cars and trucks can already be made that run on hydrogen from seawater.
Every vehicle below runs on hydrogen from seawater,
but to do it requires an ICE
and ICEs are verboten
by idiots who came from really bad schools.

Maybe. How about this scenario:
EV industry lobbyists want a profit, so they lobby states and the EU to throw out the baby with the bath water.
Media is so brain dead and in bed with anything that “feels” environmental they never ask pertinent questions like “What about the other ICEs? You know, the ones that use good fuels?”

But EVs do have GHG emissions just in a different place a (at the electric power plant.) EVs are not zero emissions. They merely shift the emissions form one place to another.
I can run a meat store and all the animals are killed off site that does not mean no animals died to bring you this meat.
Not all electrical generation sources produce GHGs. And the underlying premise of the thread (and your examples) is that ICEs would be banned, which is false.
