Yeah, that’s precisely what’s on tap in my classroom today…right after my 8th graders finish reading All Summer In A Day by Ray Bradbury, identify the setting and analyze how it affects the plot, identify the moments of rising action and explain how they move the story to the climax, which they will also identify and describe. Then, they will identify and explain the resolution of the story and predict how it will impact the protagonist and secondary characters. Finally, they will identify the story’s theme and explain how they can connect the story’s theme to an aspect of their personal life.
I swear, just as soon as they are done with that, we will get right onto the white male hatred and socialist indoctrination.

Ahh I understand now. No, they do not go down.

This furthers my perspective that vouchers are really only beneficial to the well off. I know most of the kids I coach don’t even own their home… they rent. Renters aren’t paying property taxes.

Also I voucher system like that would just drive up the cost of private schools. Which again… would lock out low income students.

Oh look point 1 and 2 are correct. Good job.

Point 3 doesn’t make sense. White people moved and built new schools. Correct. But they didn’t need to send their kids “across town”. The school were built “in town”. Because “in town” was now mostly white.

Point 4 is incorrect. The law didn’t say this. This is why bussing was forced. Bussing made it so kids living OUTSIDE of the school zone… would be force to be bussed INSIDE the school zone for more integration. If there was a law that said “you must attend a school in your zone based on your address” then nobody would need to be bussed. Especially not the white people who moved away.

Due to missing on point 3 and 4… by default you missed on 5.

So much arrogance went into your post… I know.
